We were inspired by Matthew 20:34  “Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.  Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.”  We established the Jericho Ministry Vision Clinic and headed to Brown’s Town, Jamaica in February, 2010.</div> <bR> <div> With 1,920 prescription glasses, the autorefractor,  and other necessary supplies loaned from the Kendall Optometry Ministry, we held a four-day Vision Clinic during which we tested and distributed 400 pair of RX glasses and 800 pair of readers.  People of all ages came from miles around, waiting up to four hours to receive their glasses.  Our Clinic began at 9 a.m., and the first people we saw had been lined up since 5:30 a.m.  We followed Holland’s suggestion to “pray, pray, pray throughout the day,” and those prayers are what gave us the energy to see hundreds of people, who were individually treated with God’s love and compassion.</div> <bR> <div> We pray for God to continually bless Holland Kendall and his Ministry, which crosses denominational boundaries to allow the equipment to be used for any Christian mission.  Without the Kendall Optometry Ministry, we wouldn’t have had the instruction and knowledge to take these glasses to Jamaica, and we wouldn’t have the continued education and support which will allow us to make the Jericho Ministry an annual mission.</div> <bR> <div> Through Holland’s vision, the generosity of Spirit continues to spread throughout the world, supplying eyeglasses to people who desperately need to improve their quality of life.  Now the people of Jamaica will also benefit from his Ministry, and we are truly thankful to call him our friend.</div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
